I have Bipolar 1 "Disorder". I am "in the closet" in my career and need to express myself somewhere where I will not be recognized. My dog Elvis used to be a central part of this blog, but he died. Making comics about bipolar stuff used to be regular on here, but I don't have a scanner at the moment... so mostly writing...

my name is marlena rivers...yeah, sounds like a fake name or porn star name, and it is a fake name. no i'm not a porn actress, but i had to create a name for this blog. because i'm not OUT at work about the bipolar thing... so some of this blog is about the dual identity thing... because it is a trip and i feel like a double agent, posing at work as a "normal" person and out to some friends and family... This blog used to focus on my relationship with my little doggie but he died in 2009. It also used to involve comic strips. I hope to bring that back sometime soon. Meanwhile I'll be focusing on the idea of "hiding" my bipolar disorder and what that is like for me, and if it has changed since having the "baby" who is not a baby any more!

Elvis is turned on by Prince! That would be a great headline for the gossip columns. The King loves the purple one... Graceland meets Minneapolis... hey but wait a minute! Isn't your Elvis male??? Oh well, I'm just a poor country boy, what do I know. I suppose in New York, the city that gave us the Scissor Sisters, it's not uncommon for dogs to be homosexual and hang out in trendy nightclubs.
Here in Scotland our dogs are very tough, macho creatures... oh... but they do have moustaches! Eeek!

hi mo and lash. it's very important that you know, number 1 that i have a very huge penis. marlena is such a prude that she does not usually draw it but i'm sure the next cartoon will remedy that. number 2, for a small dog (and she drew me more baby puppy like this week to emphasize my cuteness), i am super macho. often big dogs are scared of me.
number 3, i am not gay, i am bisexual or more realistically, trisexual, which is more macho than being what you humans call "straight". the ability to get nasty with all genders of canine reflects my super huge libido and limitless abilities. it's like being ambidextrous. i dont' understand why humans have not caught on to the super abilities of bisexuals. we can seduce all varieties of our species and are genderblind, so we are both supersexual superheroes with highly developped abilities and supertolerant and not snobby and picky. it it smells good, i'm there, and i've had no complaints yet...to be continued in next post...now it's time for my nap. as a bisexual dog, i need extra naps as i am twice as busy out there on the street flirting and leaving lovesick dogs in my wake...

hey marlena are you taking the wellbutrin sr or xl? I take the xl and I think it's working for me...at least Ol Man says I'm better to deal with :)
