About Me

my name is marlena rivers...yeah, sounds like a fake name or porn star name, and it is a fake name. no i'm not a porn actress, but i had to create a name for this blog. because i'm not OUT at work about the bipolar thing... so some of this blog is about the dual identity thing... because it is a trip and i feel like a double agent, posing at work as a "normal" person and out to some friends and family... This blog used to focus on my relationship with my little doggie but he died in 2009. It also used to involve comic strips. I hope to bring that back sometime soon. Meanwhile I'll be focusing on the idea of "hiding" my bipolar disorder and what that is like for me, and if it has changed since having the "baby" who is not a baby any more!

you will know that you have reached the 'BIG' stage when you have to wait for both doors to open at WalMart so you can enter :)

thanks. i just had two peices of pizza for lunch and i feel like i could attack another one! sudden ravenous bottomless pit feeling! it has not happened in a while.
well, denzel is very shy and did not want to appear on my blog very much, so i know he would never put a song up. plus this song is all about the baby's name and i'm keeping that private as my family does not know the name yet and i'm very paranoid about staying anonymous...
but it's a great song!
Ahhh...good ol' Elvis. :-) By the way, I like your posts whether they're cartoon or written!

I love the complaints and the comics alike. Glad to see the little one is still kickin' it in there.
You are too funny! Just wait...when that beautiful baby is born...you will NOT believe how your stomach shrinks...it is just amazing!
A lot, and I mean a lot of it is water...and you have to remember that most babies are born between 5lbs - 9lbs...that is a baby!

Go for it! :) I ate pizza every day for the last 5 weeks of my pregnancy. And a huge bowl of ice-cream for desert. I seriously don't know how I would have endured the "endspurt" otherwise.

kansassunflower, thanks so much. and it's good to know that others worry about keeping their anonymity!!! it's five months by the way! give or take, anyway around that point. it's funny i'm even worried about giving the exact due date in case someone i dont' want figures it out and makes the connection between marlena and me...
nicole, thanks for the kind thoughts. i'm starting to feel her, not exactly like kicks but definitely movements...
amandawow, now i want ice cream again. i was eating tons of ice cream last week and decided to avoid it for about five days as it was getting extreme, but i'm sure i'll be back at it soon... there are about four pints sitting in the freezer calling my name!
i know it sounds silly but it's pretty exciting to see you go through your pregnancy... i can't wait for you to reveal the name!!!!!:)
Helloooo...are you doing o.k.? Hey Elvis!!! Get marlena rivers in action and kick her butt, it's been almost a week with out an update, don't she know she's havin a baby and I need progress reports so I can keep up...hope to hear from one of ya soon.

thanks ol lady. i'm back with a post of a drawing that i did of me and the baby.
the baby's feet are perfect. it's my drawing skills that are deformed! see the photos from the sonogram in an earlier post.
i'm hoping when she arrives and i'm sitting around with her that i'll be able to do drawings of her...
