separation anxiety!!!
tomorrow i'm dropping elvis off with my parents and training them to give him his morning and evening medications. denzel and i are leaving early friday morning for new mexico. i will have to endure a lovely vacation of one week without my precious elvis.
i will miss him sooo much. i need a vacation extremely badly but i wish it did not involve separation from my most special best in the world little doggie.
my dad gives him excellent walks and he will be fed and looked after. i just get very anxious when i can't see his cute little face everyday.
it's like a catch 22. vacation. opportunity to go to a place i've been fantasizing about for years. and at the same time separation from my special dog who is like my first baby. the baby will be the second baby really.
send elvis extra amounts of love and health and safety so he will be ok while i'm gone. he gets a little droopy when i go away.
he just got his second part of his spring haircut last sunday and he looks extra adorable and ten years younger than his age of 14 and a half years!
so i will miss blogging too for about a week. i'll check in tomorrow as we leave early friday morning... maybe i'll even be able to post from new mexico.

Anyways Ive been gone since forever but Im back to tell ya ill be gone again.. travelling tomorrow.. and speakin of anxiety andlack of sleep, have you tried klonopin??
I have the same mixed feelings about leaving the doggies behind when i go away. On one hand, I am thankful for a bit of a break in being constantly needed, on the other hand, I spend a lot of time cooing at dogs on the street when I am away.
You're a wonderful mom! Have a lot of fun! Maybe you can find an internet cafe there. I'm sending good thoughts to Elvis :)

elvis is at my parents' house now and we're feeling his absence strongly...
i spent part of my therapy session crying and feeling sad about leaving little elvis. it was helpful. i'll try to post some text from new mexico as finding a scanner to scan comic strips sounds too difficult but i'll hope to make some comics to post when i get back! i will miss you all and look forward to catching up on your blogs. i'd like to now but i''m so disorganized and unpacked!

My MOUTH FELL OPEN when i read that you and elvis have to part ways for a short space in time.
i know you will have a wonderful trip and once you say good bye, you and denzel will relax and have FUN!! and elvis will have fun w/ the grandparents.
but, it is always DREADFUL for me to say good bye to dingo dog!
i TOTALLY understand! even when i am going on some ultra fabulous trip (it is ridiculous, how attached i am)!! :-)
it is cute though, they make our worlds go round!!

Hey Marlena...just stopping by to see how you are. The trip sounds great...cept for the leaving of Elvis. I can stand to be away from my dogs. Toolie use to have seperation anxiety...now I'm the one with it.
