depressed

I have Bipolar 1 "Disorder". I am "in the closet" in my career and need to express myself somewhere where I will not be recognized. My dog Elvis used to be a central part of this blog, but he died. Making comics about bipolar stuff used to be regular on here, but I don't have a scanner at the moment... so mostly writing...

I am sorry you feel crappy. I cannot remember what you said..when are you due? How far along are you?
Towards the end it gets icky, you feel sluggish, and you want the pregnancy over with.
Hang in there!!
It sucks that you are feeling so yucky. dream writer is right, that there comes a time when your just sick and tired of the pregnancy and want it over...it will be soon
Before I had Baby I had 2 dogs that were very spoiled so I had concern also. My mother gave me some advice that I think did help the dogs (she had done it for me and my brother).
Have a crib or bassenett (sp) set up with some sheets, blankets, a few stuffed toys maybe some diapers (clean ones:) then get the baby powder that you figure that you will use and sprinkle it on these things then teach Elvis how you want him to be around the baby. I use to put a stuffed animal with baby powder on it on the couch and on the floor on a blanket. I wouldn't let the dogs get on the couch if the 'baby' was there and I wouldn't let them onto the blanket. I did allow them to sniff the 'baby' but I would not allow them to be aggressive or show any excitement. By the time I brought Baby home the dogs were very use to the baby smell and I think it helped, we never had any real problems with the dogs and Baby. Sorry for 'talkin' so much hope you start to feel better soon.
Hope you are feeling OK?
I read your previous post about Elvis and your parents.
You have to do what you feel is right.
Ol Lady is right. It really can be a smooth transition with baby and doggie.
You can also get a Doll and lay it on the couch next to you and teach Elvis to stay off the couch or stay away from the "Doll/Baby" that way too.
You can have Elvis sniff the Outfit the baby will come home in.
You can have Elvis standing next to you near the crib or bassinett as if the baby is in the crib and teach the dog to stay put.
There are sooo many things you can do.
Come back to us!!!
I am so sorry that you are in the hole right now. Watch a good flick and eat some candy. :)
hi all,
thanks for your comments. still feeling kind of blue. your suggestions are helpful but at moment require too much energy. elvis is doing well which is good. i find what helps me is to take naps and go on long walks. elvis cannot go up on the couch or up and down stairs due to his back. the most iv'e done so far to prepare him is to talk to him about his sister's upcoming arrival. candy and movies on tv and food network have been pretty omnipresent lately actually.
