my name is marlena rivers...yeah, sounds like a fake name or porn star name, and it is a fake name. no i'm not a porn actress, but i had to create a name for this blog. because i'm not OUT at work about the bipolar thing... so some of this blog is about the dual identity thing... because it is a trip and i feel like a double agent, posing at work as a "normal" person and out to some friends and family... This blog used to focus on my relationship with my little doggie but he died in 2009. It also used to involve comic strips. I hope to bring that back sometime soon. Meanwhile I'll be focusing on the idea of "hiding" my bipolar disorder and what that is like for me, and if it has changed since having the "baby" who is not a baby any more!

I've "heard" (and correct me if I'm wrong) that having a bit of wine a every so often is okay when you're pregnant? Now if it were me, I'd probably be such a fanatic I wouldn't do anything. But...when I have a craving, like for sweets, NOTHING else will do, so in the end, I might go for it. What's wrong with having 1/2 glass of wine? It's ok, right? (Please don't take MY advice, though!)
When do you find out the sex, or are you going to at all? :-) Just think, you get to start decorating and all of that fun stuff!!!! Buying tiny clothes....I'm so excited for you!

yes, i had one glass about a week ago and it was a wonderful moment in midst of bad week so it inspired the comic strip. i may have half a glass at dinner tonight. i'm in favor of avoiding wine but i'm not going to be completely strict about it as i know a glass here or there will not hurt the baby.
i do know the gender but have not had a chance to make a comic strip about it so i'll keep everyone in suspense for a while longer!
A little wine never hurts...Hope that you are feeling good:)
